100% Solution for KESS V2 error connections not established

KESS V2 got error “Connections not established” when I prepare to install ksuite, shown as follows.

Possible reason:

1) Computer system is incompatible

2) Network connection

3) Software file is destroyed, need to reinstall.

Why the user is supposed to install ksuite on XP pro, take kess v2 fw4.036 for example, before install it, you need to install Microsoft C++2005, if you change other XP system, C++ may be not 2015 version and lead ksuite fw4.036 not successfully installed.

2) Network connection: Do not connect to the network connection, otherwise ksuite may be locked.

3) Reinstall ksuite (Please note: in the CD, there are one video demo for instruction)

Installation procedure:

1)open ksuite.sfx in the CD

2) open “Driver_USBDEVICEDRV…” and install USBDEVICEDRV

3) Cut Ksuite folder in C:\disk (Now we call it old Ksuite folder)

4) Delete Ksuite.exe

5) Paste Ksuite folder to desktop

6) Download K-tag setup installation software to laptop, and run it, it will generate another “Ksuite”  folder on Disk C, we call it new Ksuita folder)

7) Delete “K-tag setup installation software” and “Setup” icon on the desktop

8) Right click “K-suite” icon on the desktop and click “Find Target” to open new Ksuite folder.

9) Copy all files in old Ksuite folder and Paste them all to the new Ksuite folder in C:\ Ksuite.

How to reset tokens of KESS V2 V2.13 Master UK ECU Chip Tuning

2.13V KESS V2 unlimited token version with firmware version V4.036 can read and write ECU via OBD2 port directly, ECU picture and connection manual coming with KESS V2 Ksuite software, much easy to use for customers. KESS V2 V2.13 master UK ECU chip tuning with multi-language works for bike and car with coverage of all major brands and protocols including Line, CAN, EDC17 and MED17. Here is the step-by-step instruction to help reset KESS V2 tokens.
1. Open “My Network Places” on the desktop and click “View network connections” on the left menu “Network Tasks”.
Disable local area connection and wireless network connection; otherwise, you would get the interface damaged.


Close the interface.
2. Right click “My Computer” on the desktop to select “Manage”.
“computer management”> “Device Manger” on the left menu> “PC-201411261510” (scroll down)> “universal serial bus controllers”> “USB device”.


Close the interface.
3. Right click the compressed file”Tool” to extract on the desktop.
4. Open the extracted folder “Tool” and move all the three files to the desktop.


5. Cut the compressed file “KSuite_tok…” on the desk and copy it on the Local Disk (C:).


Close the two interfaces.
6. Delete the empty folder “Tool” and the compressed file “Tool” on the desktop.
7. Open “K-Suite” and choose OK in the ATTENZIONE interface and then close the following interface.


 
8. Re-name “Token1.tok” to “Token47.tok”.
             
 


And then click “K10033818” and you can get a new compressed file “Kessv2-2.1…” on the desktop.
9. Prepare one 2G TF card and format the card.
NOTE: select “Quick Format”
10. Open the compressed file “Kessv2-2.1…” on the desktop and unzip it to the formatted 2G TF card— disk (F:).


11.Delete the compressed file “Kessv2-2.1…” on the desktop after unzipping.
12. Re-name “Token47.tok” to “Token48.tok”.

13. Copy “Token48.tok” on the desktop to the folder”Tokens”.
Close the interface.
14. Open “My Computer”> “Local Disk (D:)”, and then delete the folder “KSuite_tokens”.
Extract the compressed file “KSuite_tokens” on disk (C:).
15. Open the extracted file “KSuite_tokens” on disk (C:).
16. Rename “K10033818.CFG” to “135K10033818.CFG”.

to
17. Cut the renamed “135K10033818.CFG” and paste it on “C:KSuite_tokensKSuiteupdate”.


Close the interfaces.
18. Open “K10033818” on the desktop and choose OK to continue.


19. Select KSuite direcory “my computer”> “Local Disk (C:)”> “KSuite_tokens”> “KSuite”.
Then reset token count.


20. Choose OK to proceed.


Updating…
21. Select “Info” to read it. And then exit.


Complete resetting KESS V2 V2.13 master UK ECU chip tuning tokens.

Please connect KESS V2 with computer as the following pic shows when you are adding tokens. Do not connect KESS V2 to your vehicle when adding tokens!

Arrived today my fw4.036 Kess V2, They do not supply the bin or hex file with firmware, token free they tell me, no jlink here.
Installed today, tomorrow I will try if it works on kline and can

renault f9q 1.9dci edc16 can – no id, no read
I was advised: hw needs some update too….old bug like many kess units have…. so have a look at your parts….if you have not these parts, change them and it will work.

an this is only the begining. Step by step based on the tests that i perform and pcs delivery from tme i will update you. I have full schematic original one  . The one i am working on is not mine .
After checking the above PCB board, I thought missing oki chip on mine.
But an experienced technician confirmed:
Oki chip was primarily for Ford J1850 PWM, but this is now done directly from the NXP, so not fitted anymore.
Finally I solved, after a little soldering rework on nxp and esmt chip read ok iaw 4af and edc17cp02

8. If communication between FGTech Galletto 4-Master V54 and PC/Laptop is well built, green bar will start loading and finally display ECU information.
9. Ready to read and write ECU. Choose “Read EEPROM” to read EEPROM via system prompts, and then select Write Eeprom”; once ok, turn the switch off.
10. Exit FGTech V54 software program.
 

Pro technician experience with Chinese fgtech V54 Galletto 4

In the beginning, as for the software I am having some trouble installing it cause there is only 2 files. It installs ok but when try to run I can’t do it. I am working on it. Finally, I have installed the software, actually it was pretty simple to install. First install galletto app, the install galletto win7 app that is it. I tried to test with car and test successfully on these models:
continental simos pcr 2.1 unlock and read/write via obd
edc17cp20 read/write boot mode
edc16c34 read/write bdm
med 9.5.10 read/write bdm
t5 2008 edc16…. read/write bdm
me7.1 obd and pinout need immo off
edc15p read/write pinout need to set power to max. mode not eco mode from power settings . if power set to eco mode will not even read it
t4 edc15vm read/write pinout most chose from car list LT not t4
Conclusion:
I see a lot of users have Galetto 4 v54 error on writing mitsu mh7203 mcu , mine is working good until today , just after I installed the FNR 4 in 1 galleto refused to work I did everything , uninstall/installed drivers exct……
Long story to short: Fgtech Galleto V54 likes it to be single (like VASPC and BMW on same partition (for some)

 

I don’t know but maybe it is a good idea also to have a look at what soft is installed together with it just a thought as I bumped into this problem today only way I could solve was to reformat.

IMMO off FIAT Punto with v54 fgtech galletto 4 master

Need to immo off FIAT Punto, and I need to know what chip that I should read???
The following photo shows the ECU that I need to immo off.
Someone told me that I can read it by BDM100 or PIASINI.
Someone guest me I have a me73h4 ECU. I can read it many ways.
Here is a diagram how to read flash he made, he use galleto v54 for it. It always works well.
Then I ordered one v54 fgtech galletto 4 master, use your galetto on car list
pin 20 = gnd
pin 51.49.33.17.18 = +12 v
pin 53 = kline ( green wire in galletto)
I can read fiat me7.3 as ferrari me7.3 or alfa me7.3 by using ME 73H4. but this ECU is for fiat and it is not on the car driver list of fgtech galletto v54,according to galletto list, the fiat punto 1.2 16v is not on the list . there is just the photo of the ECU. I have to select the car and model so i can read. and there is no other car that has the same ECU .

 

 

New KESS V2 (V2.13) Add Tokens tips

New V2.11 KESS V2 Unlimited Tokens Version is an ECU chip tuning tool that supports multi-function, like check battery voltage, automatic correction of checksum, DTC removal, reading and writing speed etc with multi-language.

Software Version: V2.11;

Hardware Version: V4.036;

Support System: Windows XP;

Here I would like to share the whole tutorial on how to add tokens for this new V2.11 KESS V2 device.

Note: Please disable both local area connection and wireless network connection, otherwise you will get the interface damaged!

Extract “Tool” Zip File;

Copy all the files under “Tool” Folder into desktop;

Copy “K-Suite_tokens” Zip File into Local Dick C, and to extract;

Run “K10033818 K2-TR ECU TUNERS”;

Click OK;

Browse the folder as Local Disk C:KSuite tokensKSuite;

Click OK;

Click “Rest Token Count”;

Click OK and then wait for loading;

Next close the window;

Delete previously extracted “K-Suite_tokens” Folder in the Local Disk C;

Re-extract “K-Suite_tokens” Zip File again;

Re-name “Token1.tok” on the desktop as “Token2.tok”;

Copy “Token2.tok” into “Tokens” Folder;

Open “K10033818 K2-TR ECU TUNERS” again;

Select location as Local Disk C:KSuite tokensKSuite again;

Click “Rest Token Count”;

Wait until the window below pop out;

FGTech “Can not find driver” problem what to do?

Problem:

When install FGTech Galletto 2, the FTReadWrite replied “Can’t find device” error message. When trying to uninstall the driver, the window screen warmed it is not FGTECH device, but USB-to-Serial device. If install the driver, fgtech software did not run and FTReadWrite or MProg didn’t find the ftdi chip. Try to install the driver on both win 7 and win xp computer over and over, but in vain.

Solution:

1) Download and install the Virtual Com Port drivers from FTDI website:

2) Then connect the FGTech to computer via USB port which had no device programmed and 1 blank device when the MProg Utility it shows.

NOTE: If you had backup and reprogram with the ept file. The system will not recognize the FGTECH Galletto 2 and will not reprogram the firmware bin file. The Virtual Com Port Drivers would overlay the fgtech ECU programmer. Then you have to again download the related driver in FTDI website.

3) After install the right drivers, FTReadWrite programmed the backup firmware file, run FGTech software by referring to the user manual on obd365 webpage.

Firstly, please kindly read the notice:

  2. Close anti-virus system in your laptop
